COVID-19 Update

There have been many changes around the office since March of 2020. As with most businesses, Syracuse Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore temporarily closed their doors in response to the pandemic. We did not, however, stop working to improve our community! Our office staff began to work from home and would pop into the office occasionally to ensure our partner families were supported. On May 8, 2020 the ReStore re-opened to the public and instituted safety guidelines, such as requiring masks and limiting the amount of customers in the store. Our Administrative office has also re-opened, though we are not keeping regular hours, as some staff are still working from home. Those who visit are asked to call first to make sure the office is open and are required to wear a mask during their stay.

During this time, we have continued to receive applications for partner families, work on our current builds, and set the stage for future builds. We are now accepting volunteers and have created new guidelines to ensure health and safety. While COVID-19 continues to reek havoc in the lives of many, we are determined to stay on course to help those in need. In short, there have been a lot of changes since March, but our passion for decent housing is not one of them!
