COVID-19 Regulations
Syracuse Habitat understands the seriousness of COVID-19 and has made changes to protect employees and volunteers.
The Administrative Office:

Reduced staff in the office

All persons are to remain at least 6 ft apart when able

Masks required when less than 6 ft apart or when visitors and volunteers are present
-
Masks and hand sanitizer of at least 60% alcohol will be provided
-
Reduced office hours
-
Limited in-person meetings

There is a designated spot for volunteers and staff who become sick and cannot transport themselves home.

Protocols for staff and volunteers who get sick
The ReStore:​

Masks required for staff and customers at all times

All persons are to remain at least 6 ft apart when able
-
Reduced number of volunteers allowed at one time
-
Hand sanitizer is provided for employees and customers
-
Number of customers in the store at one time will be limited

Employees avoid ride sharing for pick ups when able

There will be a designated spot in the warehouse for volunteers and staff who become sick and cannot transport themselves home.
Construction Sites:
-
Reduced number of volunteers allowed at one time
-
Masks required when less than 6 ft apart or when volunteers are present

Tools will be cleaned after each use
-
Volunteer attendance will be collected verbally

Masks and hand sanitizer of at least 60% alcohol will be provided

Individual water bottles will be provided

Limiting the need for N95 respirators to mitigate their short supply

There will be a designated spot for volunteers and staff who become sick on the job site and cannot transport themselves home.
