Projects of the magnitude of Women Build are not completed by only a few individuals. Building a Habitat house requires a team of dedicated and inspirational community members. We would like to thank every single volunteer, sponsor, and organization that played a part in this project. We would like to thank the 320 Otisco Street neighborhood for being friendly and accepting a crew of women building next to them for six months; we always felt comfortable and welcome. We will especially miss Nelson, who never missed an opportunity to sweep up behind us.
We would like to recognize and say a special "Thank You" to the following people for their dedication and generosity:
Janis Luce
Janis is one of the most dedicated members of the Women Build team. She led training workshops before building began and worked tirelessly for months as the Construction Coordinator on the build. Janis organized and ran the first Women Build Golf Tournament, which raised over $4,000. Janis is a true inspiration, both professionally and personally.
Denise Doser
Linda Dubansky
Jackie Gregg
Jane Helmer
Jo Kukula
Nancy Lee
Donna Loser
Linda Rickert-Slater
Kathy Rood
Carmen Winiarsky
Without the continual dedication of the above-mentioned women, this house could not have been completed before the holiday season. These volunteers dedicated every weekend and many, many evenings to building this house. They contributed to all aspects of the build, from bringing muffins from Mimi's Bakery to the site every Saturday to spending hours on the phone securing thousands of dollars worth of landscaping donations to documenting the build with photos. The energy and generosity of these volunteers shows us all that anything can be accomplished with dedication and teamwork.
Janice Miller
Janice finished the blueprints for the Women Build house and went on to design more Habitat houses. Janice helped to start the build with a solid plan.
Heather Couture
Heather submitted a Women Build grant to the Gifford Foundation and is responsible for a $10,000 award to Women Build from the Foundation.
Brandon Bagley
Brandon designed the Women Build website and updated all of the information throughout the entire Women Build project. Brandon also maintains the Syracuse Habitat website.
Carol Halter
Carol dedicated her time and talent to planting the seeds for construction on the house. Carol also organized training workshops for Women Build to prepare volunteers for work on-site. A special thank you goes out to:
Sandi Stonecipher - Lead Trainer - All Trainings
Carolyn Patrickson - Lead Trainer - Drywall
Juliann Tasick - Lead Trainer - Siding
Michele Blecka - Lead Trainer - Electric
Erica Harding - Lead Trainer - Electric
Raina Kessler - Training Coordinator

Janna Nelson - Data Entry
Kim Dahm - Data Entry
Dana Godbold - Data Entry
