Interfaith Build

• An InterFaith Build is a partnership of interfaith communities that join together to fund and build a house for a local family. Our InterFaith Partners will work together to assist in Habitat's mission to provide decent shelter for Go's children.

Here is a summary of what each InterFaith Partner agrees to do:

• Sign Covenant
• Provide construction labor (8-10 volunteers) for that day.
• Select someone to serve as a liaison between their congregation and Syracuse Habitat for Humanity.
• Raise an agreed upon amount of money.
• Promote the build within their congregation.
• Encourage their members to attend the ceremonies at the site (GroundBlessing and the Dedication of the Home).

There benefits are numerous:

• It offers people a way to share God's love and leads people to grow in their faith.
• It can attract new members and involve inactive members by providing an opportunity to see tangible results of their efforts as they work side by side.
• It gives a chance to participate in a ministry of service that has a beginning and an end.
• Meet a diverse group of people with a common goal.
• When you give, you receive.

• So far, our InterFaith Teams have built two homes. One is located at 609 Marcellus Street, and the other is on ___ Grace Street (the homeowner's name is Faith, and she relocated from Hope Street). This year's InterFaith Group is started the fundraisng process to build their third house.

We would be delighted to meet with appropriate people at your place of worship to discuss in more detail what it means to become part of the InterFaith Team.
